About Us
Cornerstone Care was founded in 2025 to address a gap in healthcare for patients who are homebound and unable to attend a clinic.
Many of these individuals often rely on after-hours or urgent care services, missing out on the continuity and personalised care provided by a regular GP.
Our mission is to provide accessible, compassionate, and continuous medical care directly in patients’ homes. By offering home visits and telehealth consultations, Cornerstone Care ensures that patients receive high-quality care in the comfort and safety of their own home.
Our Doctor
Dr Dexter Yow graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009. Following graduation, he gained extensive hospital experience working across multiple departments at Logan Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital.
During this time, he spent four years as a Medical Registrar undertaking physician training, where he developed broad experience in adult medicine, including geriatric and palliative care.
General Practice
Dr Yow has a strong interest in all aspects of medicine and values the opportunity to build long-term relationships with his patients. This passion led him to pursue a career in General Practice, and he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018. He has undertaken further training in women’s and children’s health. In 2016, he completed the Diploma of Child Health and the National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health. He is also certified in intrauterine device (IUD) insertion, which he completed in 2024.
Cornerstone Care
In 2025, Dr Yow recognised a gap in the healthcare system for patients who are homebound and unable to attend a clinic. Many of these patients rely on after-hours services and miss out on the continuity of care provided by their regular GP. With a vision to address this need, he established Cornerstone Care, aiming to provide accessible, compassionate, and continuous medical care for patients in the comfort of their homes.
Outside of medicine, Dr Yow enjoys spending time with his two young children. In his spare time, he also enjoys playing badminton and basketball.
Dr. Yow can speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
